Ever since we heard ‘Thought As Much’ over a year ago, we’ve been huge fans of Celsius, and we were very pleased to see the London based producer’s next offering ‘Attrition’ get picked up by Kerri Chandler’s label MadTech. MadTech has for some time now championed this style of music, signing releases from the likes of Josh Butler, Citizen, and Mia Dora. Meanwhile, Celsius has continued to shine, seeing support from Moda Black, and Anjunadeep with well known tracks ‘Incoming’ and his remix of Jody Wisternoff’s ‘How You Make Me Smile.’ ‘Attrition’ kicks things off with the title track, which opens the EP with a bang. The production features a shuffling groove based percussion with deep, low-end tones backing a warm vocal. Stay tuned for a full music video for this one. ‘Devotion’ takes up the B-side, a deeper garage influenced work. It’s soft pads and neurotic yet melodic synthplay are layered over a bumpy bass hook that can only be described as beautiful.
Out now on MadTech Records.
